The front moved
while you slept.
A persistent three-faction war, fought in a browser tab. One soldier, three taps, three minutes. The line resolves every hour, with or without you.
The war is live. No client, no download, no account — pick a side and your first drop takes about 90 seconds.
A very specific grief, and nobody serves it.
Firefall was shut down in July 2017 with 24 hours' notice. Persistent war at PlanetSide scale has thinned out since.
The people who loved it are 30 to 45 now. They have a job, a browser tab open all day, and no evenings.
What they miss is not the aiming. It is opening a map and seeing that the front moved overnight, because 10,000 strangers on their side pushed it.
- reinstall a dying clientplay alone at off-peak hours
- wait for a fan revivalnever finishes
- Foxholedemands the evenings you no longer have
- OGame, Travian, Tornpersistence, but a spreadsheet
Keep the grunt. Drop the netcode.
front
Pick a contested sector on the line. The map shows you which one is collapsing.
vector
Air, ground or flank. You get one line on what the enemy committed last resolve.
frame
Your battleframe and jetpack loadout. Assigned on enlistment, changed whenever.
| air | beats | entrenched positions |
| ground | beats | air |
| flank | beats | thin lines |
The game is reading where the enemy mass is committing, not reflexes. There is no real-time simulation, so there is no player cap and no server list.
Drops cost charge, and charge refills over hours. Timing and restraint are the decisions. Refreshing is not.
The meter always says exactly when it refills. There is no way to buy charge, and there never will be.
Opening positions on Slate.
Three factions. Pick one, and it knows your callsign.
the Chorus
Certain, exacting, closed ranks. One standard, held without argument.
the Lattice
Engineers. Rules written down, and open to anyone who reads them.
the Drift
An alliance of independents. Loose, argumentative, unbreakable.
Every faction colour is always paired with its emblem shape, so the map stays readable without colour.

Two weeks. One winner. Then the map resets.
At the centre of the triangle stands the Spire: the orbital launch site, and the only way off this world.
One faction takes it. That victory is written permanently into the Record before the map resets.
Your service record, your faction's history and the memorial of past campaigns accumulate. Kit bought in campaign 3 still shows up in campaign 40.
The war is a place, not a match. Two weeks, one winner, with or without you.
Free to fight. Always.
Nothing we sell changes a stat, a cooldown or a resolve. Ever.
Named kit at €3 to €8: liveries, emblems, contrails, banners, callsign colours. Bought once, kept across every campaign.
No subscription. No currency, credits or gems. No purchasable charge. Salvage is earned, never sold.
We explain the maths out loud. Anything involving money or a failure is written in plain language.
The line moves at the top of every hour.
Campaign 001 is being fought right now. The map is the first thing you see, and three taps is the whole session.
